Explore how active substances connect to group members and pesticide residues in the DG SANTE export. The download preserves relationship records so the source model can be analysed without flattening every repeated identifier into a supposed duplicate.

What this download contains

This is not a one-row-per-substance directory. Repeated identifiers can carry legitimate relationships, and removing them without understanding the schema can discard meaning. Status and legislation context must accompany the identifiers wherever the data is used.

Working with this edition

Load the relationship table with its field definitions, inspect the sample and choose join keys deliberately. Use source legislation for authoritative interpretation and avoid treating a reference relationship as a recommendation to use a substance.

Product questions

Is the row count the number of unique active substances?

No. The row count describes source relationships. Unique substances must be counted using the documented identifiers.

Does the dataset establish whether a substance may be used?

It is a reference export. Applicable conditions and authoritative requirements must be checked in the cited legislation.
